Question: Domestic and Family Violence Prevention

The Hon. T.A. FRANKS: Supplementary: previously in the Coroners Court, a position has existed to look at systemic domestic violence deaths and investigate them. Will that be undertaken in light of this most recent horrific week?

The Hon. K.J. MAHER (Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Attorney-General, Minister for Industrial Relations and Public Sector): I thank the honourable member for her question. Once again, after the fact, there is nothing that we can do in relation to that that would necessarily prevent these tragic deaths happening, but I am happy to pass that on to the Coroners Court.
