Join us to say farewell to Mark and Penny!

Penny Wright and Mark Parnell are heading interstate, to be closer to family in retirement. We really wanted to make sure we give them a good send off!

From their lounge room Penny and Mark were there when the South Australian Greens were formed. As founding members, Mark and Penny have seen this party grow to what it is today.

Mark was the first member of the South Australian Greens to be elected to the South Australian Parliament in 2006. In his 15 years in parliament, Mark continued his advocacy for equality and human rights and pushed for changes that were in line with Green’s values.

Penny was elected to the Federal Senate in 2011 and in that time was the Green’s spokesperson for legal affairs, schools and education, mental health and veterans affairs. Since her time in Parliament Penny was the SA Guardian for Children and Young People.

Both Penny and Mark have had a huge impact on the SA Greens, and we would love for you to join us to say farewell!
