The Hon. T.A. FRANKS ( 14:44 :38 ): I have a supplementary question: given that the minister noted the Coroner's position in terms of investigating and reviewing domestic violence-related deaths, does the Coroner have jurisdiction where the alleged murder was committed interstate, given the recent murder of a woman in Tasmania who was from South Australia but on holiday?
The Hon. G.E. GAGO (Minister for Employment, Higher Education and Skills, Minister for Science and Information Economy, Minister for the Status of Women, Minister for Business Services and Consumers) ( 14:45 :01 ): That is an interesting question, Mr President. I am not sure of the answer. I do not know whether they would be captured by the other state's Coroner's jurisdiction or this state's. I am happy to take it on notice and bring back a response.
